New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Marina del Rey

Ushering in the New Year, a brilliant fireworks display will light up the Marina del Rey skies on Monday, December 31, 2007, starting at 30 seconds before midnight, and ending during the opening minutes of 2008.

This year’s fireworks will be presented by the famed Zambelli Pyrotechnics, which originated more than 100 years ago in Italy and follow the Italian tradition of huge finales.

The famous fireworks display will be shot off the Marina del Rey’s south jetty near Fisherman’s Village. Burton Chace Park, located at 13650 Mindanao Way, and Fisherman’s Village, at 13755 Fiji Way, and Marina (Mother’s Beach) at Admiralty Way and Via Marina are premiere locations for viewing the pyrotechnic extravaganza, and the fireworks display can also be seen from the decks, roofs and balconies of most restaurants and hotels in the community.

The event is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors. More Don’t forget to bring along a jacket or sweater to stay comfortable at night near the water.
